If you’re looking for an easy and quick beginner project, look no further than Bejeweled!
This pattern is for a decent-sized (45 inches by 21 inches) table runner that you can customize in a variety of ways. The symmetrical design that comes together in the center would accentuate any centerpiece you might want to place on top of the quilt.
I made two samples for this pattern, one with a high contrast between the feature fabrics and the background, and the other more muted.
The one on the left features a 5-inch charm pack of Mama’s Cottage by Moda, and the one on the right uses some of my favorite Robert Kaufman Kona colors.
I think you’ll agree that the pattern works really well with both solid fabrics and prints. The pattern includes a coloring diagram to help you test out your own color choices.
I also played around with other ideas, such as making the border a different color than the background and using a busy background against a single solid color fabric. There are so many possibilities with this pattern! I hope you like it as much as I do!
