I’ve long wanted to work on a foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern, and I think I found the perfect FPP project! My inspiration for this pattern comes from a tile design I saw on social media a while ago. I started thinking about how I could make a quilt based on my inspiration and quickly found myself in front of my computer! I like using the software program Electric Quilt 8 (EQ8) for most of my designs. It became apparent quickly that this needed to be a paper piecing pattern given some of the long and narrow pieces that needed to be stitched together.

Admittedly, my color choices are very different from the source of my inspiration, but something about pink is very appealing to me these days. If you had told me that I would go for pink than any other color (especially purple) 20 years ago, I’d have laughed. Somehow I seem to grow fonder of pink as I get older!
